Arden University celebrates 10th anniversary
Arden University celebrated its 10th anniversary with an industry event in Birmingham in late March.
The event brought together keynote speakers, staff, students, partners and industry leaders at its Crossways campus to reflect on a decade of growth that has enabled Arden to transform students’ lives across the UK, and globally.
Focused on the theme of ambition, the day explored the university’s growing contribution to regional skills development and digital innovation and focused on the ways in which it widens access to higher education.
Central to this is the university’s role in supporting employers through flexible learning pathways, and industry aligned programmes which help address skills shortages across Birmingham and the wider region.
The university also took the opportunity to look ahead to the future, where it will continue to strengthen its partnerships with the business community and expand opportunities for students and regional employers.
Professor Dilshad Sheikh, provost and chief academic officer at Arden University, said: "This milestone is not simply a reflection on what Arden has achieved over the past decade, but a clear signal of our intent for the future.
“Our ambition is to continue expanding access to higher education while ensuring that what we deliver is directly relevant to the needs of employers and the evolving economy.
“Through strong regional partnerships and a focus on applied, flexible learning, we are equipping our students with the skills and capabilities required to succeed in a rapidly changing world."
