Arden University invites business and professionals to support next generation through mentoring programme
Businesses and professionals across the region are being invited to support the next generation of talent through Arden University’s ACE Mentoring Programme.
The flexible programme connects industry experts with students, helping them prepare for life after university and take their next steps into the world of work.
The Arden Careers & Employability (ACE) programme provides targeted mentoring support to underrepresented student groups, particularly students from a Global Majority background (Black, Asian, Mixed Heritage or other non-white backgrounds), students with a disability, and care-experienced students.
Arden University’s careers mentoring officer, Emma Hawkins said: “ACE Mentoring creates meaningful connections between employers and students. Professionals gain early insight into emerging talent, while students gain the confidence and direction needed to take their next steps.
For many of our learners, this support is genuinely life‑changing. It’s a simple, high‑impact way for businesses to contribute to social mobility and strengthen the region’s future workforce.”
Volunteer career mentors should be willing to commit 1-2 hours per month to mentor Arden students through structured online conversations focused on career pathways, industry expectations and professional development.
The programme offers employers a simple, high value way to engage with emerging talent while contributing to inclusive skills growth and social mobility across the region.
The university are seeking professionals working across health and social care management, psychology, IT and finance, but professionals with experience outside these fields are also welcomed.
Arden University are looking to diversify their mentoring pool to better reflect the diversity of their student community and welcome applications from professionals with lived experience in these areas.
Applications to become a career mentor are now open and will close on the 14 September.
