Art exhibition launched with all proceeds given to charity

Burton on Trent YMCA and the Salvation Army will be recipients of donations gathered at an art exhibition by Steve Mason.

Steve Mason, a self-taught artist who has been developing his art skills over the last few years will be launching an exhibition at the Brewhouse in Burton on Trent. The work is an accumulation of a large and varied collection of approximately 80 of his artworks. 

The collection consists of fishing boats, industrial scenes, local buildings and landscapes. Also included are paintings from Catalonia in the footsteps of Salvador Dali. The style is generally contemporary painted in both oils and Acrylics. All are framed.

After a modest commission by the Brewhouse, all proceeds will be donated to the YMCA and the Salvation Army.

Steve originates from Hartlepool and moved to the Burton Area in the late 70’s. He has gained inspiration from the differing landscapes of these two towns.

The exhibition runs for four weeks from 8 October until 11 November and is positioned in the foyer of the theatre-downstairs and upstairs.
