Arts charity thanks local community with 100 ticket giveaway

The Lichfield Garrick Theatre and Studio is giving away 100 tickets to see this year's pantomimes.

Winners will be able to attend Snow White & the Seven Dwarfs on Friday, 2 December, or tickets to see one of two studio shows, The Bah Humbug Club or Hans Christian Anderson 's The Ugly Duckling & Other Stories.

To enter the competition, tag Lichfield Garrick in a video on social media with the hashtag #HelloLichfield, shouting “Hello Lichfield! ” like Sam Rabone, the Pantomime Dame.

Next, inform what show you would like to see and why you, your family or your group should get tickets.

The best video subscriptions from local people or groups will win up to 20 tickets per group to the show of their choice. The competition ends on Midnight of 5 November.

Snow White & the Seven Dwarfs promises to be a dazzling show with a brilliant cast, larger-than-life costumes, and more laughs than a poisoned apple.

The Bah Humbug Club is a brand-new show by talented local writer Carolyn Scott Jeffs and promises a lot of laughs, tears, and nostalgia, experiencing the best of Christmas over two decades in the most unconventional of ways.

The Ugly Duckling and Other Stories promises four classics in one where Hans Christian Anderson 's wonderful stories are brought to life.

Speaking about the giveaway, interim executive manager, Matt Clay said: “We are so happy that the Christmas season shows can return to the theatre in full swing this year, with a larger casts, new writing and magical moments for everyone to enjoy, something we have missed during the pandemic.

“This amazing prize giveaway will hopefully raise a smile and add some much-needed fun in our area. Not to mention a huge thank you from all the team at Lichfield Garrick Arts Charity. ”

The Pantomime opens on Friday 25 November and runs until Saturday 31December. The Bah Humbug Club runs from 8 to 27 December.

The Ugly Duckling & Other Stories runs from 10 December to Sat 24 December.
