Aston University takes wraps off padel courts with new campus facility

Aston University is to unveil a new facility showcasing one of the fastest-growing sports in the world at a special community launch event.

The event – on 11 and 12 June – will see the Padel Loft Aston launch with three brand new glass-walled courts on the Aston campus.

The courts will provide students, staff and the public with access to the city’s most centrally located facility for the rapidly expanding sport.

Located in the centre of the university campus and just a 10-minute walk from New Street Station the facility will also serve the wider local community.

Aston University said: “Run by the Padel Loft, it’s set to be the city’s most central place to play. Whether you’re a complete beginner or already play regularly, padel is fast, social and easy to pick up.

“Book a court with friends, join  coaching sessions or drop in for a lunchtime hit. With convenient on-campus parking and a location ideal for Birmingham business professionals, it’s the perfect way to add movement to your week.”
