Solihull-based business founder Kamran Saleem has been recognised for his impressive contribution to the automotive sector. His company MotorServ UK, a premium auto service and car sales centre, scooped three awards in five days for its business prowess and community efforts.

On 18 November at Birmingham 's Malmaison, Saleem and his MotorServ UK team were honoured at the Asian Business Chamber of Commerce Awards with both 'Outstanding Customer Service of the Year ' and 'Outstanding Business Resilience During COVID-19 '.

Throughout the course of the pandemic, the servicing centre was praised for coming to the aid of the NHS by providing five vehicles to GPDQ as part of Birmingham City Council's Covid-19 Response Team, helping emergency doctors to assist ambulance service.

The saloon vehicles sourced by MotorServ UK required air locked boots to avoid cross-contamination of PPE from each patient visit. The business was also involved in the distribution of PPE and hand sanitiser across the area and has dedicated part of its workshop as a depot for food and parcels donated by the public in support of key workers and local homeless citizens.

Furthermore, on 22 November at Grosvenor House in London, Kamran Saleem was named as Midlands Winner in the 'Service Industries ' category at the Great British Entrepreneur Awards. The evening saw 159 winners across the UK recognised for their incredible business journeys and achievements over the last year, which proved to be even more challenging in the midst of a global pandemic.

Francesca James, founder of the Great British Entrepreneur Awards, spoke highly of the entrepreneurial talent coming out of this year 's cohort. Francesca said: “It was fantastic to hear so many inspiring business stories after a few difficult years, and even better to have been able to invite all of our finalists to the in-person ceremony and celebrate together.

“With more than 1,200 attending, the evening was a real snapshot of the UK economy. The winners were thoroughly deserving, overcoming some stiff competition from their fellow finalists, and we look forward to welcoming them into our alumni community and seeing what they do next. It 's always exciting to watch our previous winners go on to achieve amazing things and I don 't expect any less from this year 's award recipients, who we will support all the way. ”

Congratulating Kamran on his win, the judging panel said: "Kamran has a really interesting story and has shown great growth so far. It's also refreshing to see a business in the automotive sector really focus on fantastic customer service and retention."

Reflecting on his company 's national recognition Saleem said: “For my team and I to be recognised not once but three times at such prestigious ceremonies is an honour and true testament to the hard work, dedication and passion we all have to deliver a five-star service to our loyal customers.

“It 's this consistent delivery that has propelled Motorserv UK forward over the last few years - a highly-respected and trusted automotive centre that is proud to play it 's part in being fully immersed in the heart of Midlands community. ”
