B:Music unveils new August to October season
B:Music, the Birmingham music charity responsible for Town Hall and Symphony Hall, has launched its new August to October programme for 2025 which includes comedy, live music, films, family entertainment and spoken word on its two world-famous stages.
The new season showcases an array of performances at Town Hall and Symphony Hall.
From the multi award-winning comedian Bill Bailey to the young musicians of the National Youth Orchestra, August sees a varied and exciting programme.
The season will feature live music from Engelbert Humperdinck, and Brit Award-winning singer, songwriter, and guitarist James Morrison.
October will see Lulu taking to the Town Hall stage, as well as the original Star Wars Trilogy: Live in Concert at Symphony Hall.
Stand-up stars performing include Bill Bailey: Thoughtifier (27 August), ISMO: Woo Hoo! (16 September), Geoff Northcott: Basic Bloke 2 (4 October), Kane Brown: Don’t Listen to Me (5 October), Jason Byrne: Head in the Clouds (10 October), Henning Wehn: Acid Wehn (11 October), Georgie Carroll: Infectious (23 October), and Sara Pascoe: I Am a Strange Gloop (30 October).
The season will feature A Night of Ska at Town Hall, featuring Bad Manners, The Beat featuring Rankin Jnr, Lobster, and Mazzy Snape (20 September).
Meanwhile, Lulu is inviting her fans to join her for an intimate conversation with songs and stories. at Town Hall (6 October).
Now at 76, with the release of her highly anticipated memoir, she’s finally telling her whole, unfiltered story for the very first time.
The Boomtown Rats celebrate five decades of their music at Symphony Hall (11 October).
The London Symphonic Rock Orchestra will perform at Symphony Hall (12 October) and Suzanne Vega will give a rare concert at this autumn (31 October).
Star Wars: A New Hope, Star Wars: The Empire Strikes Back and Star Wars: Return of the Jedi will be played on the big screen accompanied by the City of Birmingham Symphony Orchestra bringing John Williams’ legendary score to life (24, 25, 26 October).
Families are invited to experience Kidz Bop Live, the number one music brand for kids, featuring today's biggest hits ‘sung by kids, for kids’ (28 October).
Other events include story telling with Professor Alice Roberts (4 September), Eric Idle (10 September), a reunion of motorsport's most captivating teammate rivalry with Mika Häkkinen and David Coulthard (26 September), an evening with Sandi Toksvig, celebrating her love and passion for writers and books in her new show Friends of Dorothy.
