The story of Birmingham’s biggest basketball club is being brought to life thanks to a partnership with video production firm Ark Media.

City of Birmingham Rockets – who play in the new British Championship Basketball league – have joined forces with Ark Media for a series of video projects.

Sutton Coldfield-headquartered Ark Media are providing video marketing services to the Rockets to aid their broader growth and engagement strategy.

As well as using video storytelling to boost engagement, the partnership will also raise awareness of the Rockets as a central figure in Birmingham’s sporting community.

Ark have produced a series of videos including kit launch promos to highlight the Rockets’ new home and away kits, a promotional video about the club’s history, ethos and ambitions, and fixture promos to drive interest and attendance in upcoming games.

Ark Media’s logo also appears on the back of the Rockets’ home and away jerseys.

Phil Arkinstall, CEO of Ark Media and past president of the Royal Sutton Coldfield Chamber, said: “Partnering with the Birmingham Rockets was such a natural fit for us.

“We both have strong Birmingham roots, and we cannot wait to help bring their game days to life through fantastic video content.

“We are excited by the opportunity to work with, and sponsor, the area’s leading Basketball team.”

Rockets CEO Robert Palmer said: “We are delighted to welcome Ark Media into the Birmingham Rockets family.

“By partnering with Ark Media, we’re not just joining forces - we’re combining ambition, creativity and vision.

“Together we hope to increase our impact, tell the Rockets’ story to new audiences, and deliver unforgettable experiences for our fans, community and partners. We can’t wait to see where this collaboration takes us.”
