BBC presenter to host Asian Business awards
A leading BBC Midlands Today broadcaster is to host the Asian Business Chamber of Commerce 's annual awards celebration this month.
Amy Cole (pictured) has been confirmed as host for the virtual event, which takes place on Thursday 18 November.
Amy has been a presenter and news reporter at the BBC for 17 years - spending seven of those working for BBC Midlands Today.
She grew up in Devon but has made Birmingham her home.
Amy also hosted the Greater Birmingham Chambers of Commerce 's annual awards earlier this year.
She said: “I am very much looking forward to hosting the Asian Business Chamber of Commerce annual awards.
“I think it's really important to celebrate diversity and to see the innovation from business' in this sector and how they're thriving. ”
The ABCC awards are sponsored by Aston University, Douglas Wright T/A McDonald 's, Inspired Energy and Lioncroft Wholesale Ltd.
Eight sector awards will be handed out on the night as well as the overall ABCC Business of the Year (sponsored by Lets Sanify).
