BBC WM presenter to host Greater BYPY awards 2026
The Future Faces Chamber of Commerce have announced BBC Radio WM presenter PJ Ellis as host for this year’s Greater BYPY awards.
PJ is well known in the West Midlands for his entrepreneurial and philanthropic work and is the co-founder of LoveBrum, a local charity that reaches out to Birmingham-based projects that deliver real change to Birmingham.
Last year he hosted the Solihull Chamber awards and the GBCC awards.
The awards will take place on September 24 at Birmingham Town Hall and will celebrate Greater Birmingham’s young professionals that go above and beyond in their sector.
This year the event will bring together emerging talent and established leaders in a cinematic setting that sparks conversation and exhibits inclusivity.
PJ (pictured) said: “I’m genuinely honoured to be hosting this year’s Greater BYPY Awards, it’s a brilliant opportunity to celebrate the young professionals driving our region forward.
“Greater Birmingham is full of ambition, talent and untapped potential, and nights like this shine a light on the next generation who are stepping up, creating opportunity and shaping what the future of our region looks like.
“I’m really looking forward to being part of such a special celebration. Bring it on."
Sophie Poduval-Morrell, manager of Future Faces, said: “We are so excited to announce that PJ Ellis, the ultimate Brummie champion, will be hosting this year’s Greater BYPY Awards.
“PJ has been a passionate supporter of Future Faces over the years, from mentoring young professionals to hosting our red carpet and judging the awards.
“To now have him as our host, alongside a brand-new venue and format, is something we’re hugely proud of.”
