A survey that will keep the views of Chambers of Commerce members in front of government ministers and officials has been launched.

The British Chambers of Commerce (BCC) Energy Survey is open until 28 October and explores the impact of government's economic announcements, rising energy costs and plans on net zero. It also examines whether there are regulations businesses would advise the government to remove or keep.

The results of the survey will be anonymously shared directly with government ministers and officials, helping to ensure that the voice of Chamber members is heard when significant decisions about the UK economy are being made.

Representatives from firms of any size and sector are welcome to participate in the survey.

Beth Clewes (pictured), insight and intelligence services manager for GBCC, said: “I urge any organisations who are experiencing energy and utilities-related concerns to take a couple of minutes to fill in BCC 's Energy Survey.

“According to our Quarterly Business Report survey, energy costs are a huge issue affecting firms in Greater Birmingham right now, so this survey couldn 't be timelier.

“Knowing your views on the current business environment and recent government announcements will ensure that the Chamber of Commerce network can support members directly, and campaign for the economic conditions that you need to thrive both on a local and national level. ”
