BDO announces new Midlands partner
Accountancy and business advisory firm BDO LLP Jonathan Lanes as Risk Advisory Services (RAS) partner in the Midlands - one of 20 partner promotions across the firm.
The promotions, delayed from June 2020 as a result of Covid-19, are effective from 1 January.
Jon joined BDO in 2007 and has since progressed through the ranks at the firm as he has established himself as a specialist in corporate governance, risk management and internal control. He is a trusted adviser to businesses across the manufacturing, consumer markets, construction and pharmaceutical sectors, as well as delivering services to the not for profit sectors including: housing, education and charities.
Jon plays an active role in BDO 's East Midlands leadership team and has developed and nurtured effective teams to help clients with solving economic and regulatory problems, leading effective management of risk and strengthening resilience for organisations while enhancing service in the region.

Nationally, the new partners have significant experience across a wide range of sectors and specialisms including the professional services, technology and media, financial services and private equity. Eight of the 20 promotions are outside of London, including Jon in the Midlands.
