The Bear Grylls Adventure, located at The NEC in Birmingham, has hosted its first Services Day in partnership with Blue Light Card.

In the first exclusive Services Day to be held following the pandemic, the event saw the attraction open for those working in the emergency services, NHS, social care sector and armed forces.

It was arranged as a way to give back to those who work hard to support communities, giving them a chance to spend well-deserved quality time with their loved ones while taking on new adventures at a discounted rate.

With tickets available across all the attraction 's awesome activities, Blue Light Card holders have enjoyed a well-earned break from their daily routine, challenging themselves to try something new and achieve the remarkable with the experiences offered at The Bear Grylls Adventure.

Adventurers spent the day scaling Europe 's tallest High Ropes course, experiencing freefall with iFLY Indoor Skydiving, and diving with Blacktip Reef Sharks, Cownose Rays, and over 1,000 other tropical fish.

Tom Dalby, CEO and co-founder of Blue Light Card, said: “It 's a pleasure and privilege for us to offer Services Days for our members.

“It gives them the chance to make life-long memories and spend quality time with their family - something we all missed out on during the pandemic.

“The diversity of what 's offered at The Bear Grylls Adventure means that any of our members, from any walk of life, can go and enjoy an experience.

“Whether they 're a family of five with children desperate to see sharks or a new couple eager to try out the High Ropes and spend some quality time together, opportunities like this allow us to say thank you to those that do the most for us. ”

The event at The Bear Grylls Adventure marks the first in a line-up of Service Days held at attractions owned and operated by Merlin Entertainments, with more exclusive days planned at Alton Towers, Thorpe Park, Chessington World of Adventures, and Legoland Windsor.

Marc Bell, general manager of The Bear Grylls Adventure, said: “I am so proud that we have hosted an extremely well-deserved exclusive members only access to all Blue Light Card holders at The Bear Grylls Adventure.

“What an amazing way to give back to those who do so much for the public. Their dedication and tireless effort is hugely appreciated by the whole nation, and we are delighted to be able to offer them a fun day out through the Blue Light Card scheme. ”
