Beat lockdown blues via new virtual wellbeing portal
Solihull residents can beat the lockdown blues and get their minds and bodies in shape with free new dance choreography lessons and a virtual wellbeing portal.
The projects have been organised by Solihull BID - the Business Improvement District for the town centre - in conjunction with local companies.
The BID has teamed up with Dance Fitness Solihull to offer a free course of dance choreography lessons for the whole family.
The five-part series will teach you how to perform one of the biggest TikTok dance crazes of the past 12 months. All five videos will be featured on the BID 's Facebook page - https://www.facebook.com/SolihullBID.
Individuals from across the borough can also enjoy free access to triONLINE Virtual Wellbeing throughout lockdown.
The portal includes exercise classes, motivational talks and mindfulness practices as well as cooking tutorials and advice on food.
To sign up for free access to a treasure trove of useful resources for health and wellbeing, head to the BID website: https://solihullbid.co.uk/emergestrongersolihull/
Melanie Palmer (pictured), chief executive of Solihull BID, said: “The Covid-19 crisis has left a deep scar that has chipped away at our societal and economic backbone. We want to support the amazing community resilience out there in every way we can.
“Our website has a whole range of advice and guidance and I am excited to see the launch of the new fitness and wellbeing programmes. I hope you will join me and many others in a bit of fun in these dark days and attempt the TikTok routine! “
These new projects all form part of the BID 's support for the local community, as well as town centre companies.
