BID teams up with trade body to provide memberships for independent firms
Kings Heath BID has joined forces with the British Independent Retailers Association (Bira) to provide fully-funded annual memberships for independent businesses within the Kings Heath area.
This partnership aims to offer crucial support and guidance to businesses grappling with the challenges posed by the current economic climate.
The Kings Heath BID and Bira partnership aims to equip local businesses with a comprehensive suite of resources and benefits.
These include an array of invaluable services such as free legal counsel, preferential card rates, business banking solutions, specialised insurance packages, expert commercial and tax advice, a convenient buy-now-pay-later scheme, and comprehensive marketing support.
Additionally, Bira offers a utilities review service that has the potential to save member businesses thousands of pounds annually.
Members can also take advantage of the Bira Direct stock buying group, featuring a convenient online B2B portal boasting an extensive network of over 160 reputable suppliers.
Earlier this year, Bira teamed up with York BID for a similar partnership.
The strategic alliance between Kings Heath BID and Bira which launched this month, has already garnered attention, with a number of independent shops within the area already taking advantage of this unique opportunity.
Andrew Goodacre (pictured), CEO of Bira, said: "The partnership with Kings Heath BID signifies our commitment to providing multi-faceted support to our members during these challenging times.
“Our collaboration serves as a powerful reminder to independent business owners that while they may operate autonomously, they are never alone in their journey."
Ian Vesey, chair of Kings Heath BID, said "The BID has just begun its fourth term and we are already looking at a number of ways that we can provide a return on investment for our levy payers.
“The partnership with bira makes perfect sense, not only because Kings Heath is the nearest BID area to their national headquarters, but more importantly it offers many of our members a genuine opportunity to make the BID cost-neutral for them."
