Birmingham Airport (BHX) has announced an expansion of Swiss hospitality firm Aspire’s pre-flight lounges with two new offerings and an upgraded experience.

In addition to the Aspire lounge, guests will also have access to the new Luxe by Aspire and Suite by Aspire offerings.

In 2025, Aspire welcomed 1.2 million passengers across its UK&I lounges. This latest expansion marks the next phase in Aspire’s continued investment into the UK and Ireland market.

From Summer 2026, guests will have the choice of three tiers of access. This includes an extended, upgraded and fully refurbished Aspire Lounge featuring 135 seats and designed for all travellers.

It combines award-winning service, thoughtfully designed surroundings, and exquisite food and drink in one inviting space.

In addition to Aspire Lounge, other upgrades include Luxe by Aspire and Suite by Aspire.

Luxe by Aspire provides all the facilities that those travelling for business and upscale leisure would expect within an exclusive, private space.

With 104 seats, guests can expect an upscale experience with more spaces to work, relax, and enjoy an enhanced F&B offering.

Suite by Aspire is crafted for the most discerning travellers. Featuring 52 seats and reminiscent of first-class air travel, Suite by Aspire offers guests exclusivity, à la carte menus, and personal table-side service from an award-winning hospitality team.

James Millett, director of Lounges UK&I and global customer innovation at Aspire Pre-Flight Hospitality, said: “We’re delighted to introduce our proven Luxe by Aspire and Suite by Aspire products to Birmingham in addition to a new look for our Gate 1 Aspire lounge.

“Birmingham’s investment plan and terminal work is creating significant opportunities for partners, travellers and our guests.

“With over 13m travelling in 2025 and significant future growth ahead, we look forward to welcoming guests in our latest design-led lounge with elevated food and beverage offering and our award-winning hospitality.

“The lounge is designed with our data-led insight at the heart, and we’re excited to launch in Summer 2026.

Richard Gill, commercial director at Birmingham Airport said: “We have been delighted to work with Aspire on these new and improved lounges, which form part of our wider commercial concourse development offering more choice for our passengers.

“These enhancements are a key element of our growth strategy, supporting both current demand and future passenger growth.”

Aspire Pre-Flight Hospitality, one of the world’s leading airport hospitality brands, welcomes around 6.4 million guests annually.

The lounge portfolio includes not only the flagship Aspire Lounges but also partnerships with major airline lounges, alliance lounges, bank and credit card lounges, delivering a world-class experience to travellers around the globe.
