Birmingham City confirm Jeremy Dale as chief executive officer

Birmingham City Football Club has appointed Jeremy Dale (pictured) as the Club’s chief executive officer, effective immediately.

Dale, who has served as Interim CEO since January 2025, is set to lead the Club and work with the ownership to help advance the Club across football and business operations.

His responsibilities will include strategic development, driving day-to-day operations and performance, accelerating commercial growth, and engage fans and partners across all levels.

Mr Dale said: “It is an honour to lead this football club as its CEO, a club that means so much to me. The opportunity under Knighthead’s ownership is huge.

“I am excited to be part of their team as we look to deliver on our ambitions for both the Club and the city.”

Tom Wagner, chairman of Birmingham City Football Club said: “As we enter an important new chapter for Birmingham City, including our return to the Championship, we’re pleased to appoint Jeremy as CEO.

“The Club has made significant progress under his leadership in recent months, and we are excited for his continued leadership as we maintain our focus on executing our long-term strategy and building a strong foundation for the future.”

Birmingham City Football Club are patrons of the Greater Birmingham Chambers of Commerce (GBCC).

Speaking about the appointment, GBCC acting deputy CEO Raj Kandola said: “On behalf of the Chamber, we would like to congratulate Jeremy on his appointment as permanent chief executive officer of Birmingham City Football Club.

“As we have seen over the last few months, Knighthead Capital have incredibly ambitious plans not only for the football club but also the city as a whole and Jeremy has played a key role in bringing this vision to life.

“As a Patron, we’ve seen the value of partnering with Birmingham City Football Club on exciting initiatives such as the Brumbassadors series and we look forward to building on this partnership in the months and years to come.”
