Birmingham Dogs Home country music festival close to sell-out

Birmingham Dogs Home’s first Country Music Festival is almost 80 per cent sold - with 91 tickets remaining ahead of the event on Saturday, 22 August.

Taking place from 5pm to 11pm at the charity's Birmingham centre in Solihull, the event will feature live country music, line dancing and western-themed entertainment, raising funds for the charity's work with homeless dogs.

Acts include Robin Cooper, Kassidy Kiernan, Buckle 'N' Boots, Two Ways Home and headline act Country Chix, alongside music from DJ Harry Colley.

Other attractions include a bucking bronco, western-themed games, shopping stalls, food and a licensed bar.

Rachel Frost, events and community fundraising manager at Birmingham Dogs Home, said: "We're so excited to see this event come to life. It's our first Country Music Festival and we wanted to create something a little different - a really fun and intimate evening that people can enjoy while supporting a fantastic cause.

"We have five fantastic live acts, line dancing, a bucking bronco, food, shopping and lots more planned. Whether you're a huge country music fan or just fancy a great night out with friends, we'd love you to join us."

Birmingham Dogs Home has cared for homeless dogs since 1892 and operates rescue centres in Solihull and Wolverhampton.

The charity receives no government funding.
