Birmingham Dogs Home launches first ever country music festival

Birmingham Dogs Home is inviting country music fans from across the West Midlands to pull on their cowboy boots for a brand-new country music festival.

The festival is taking place at Birmingham Dogs Home Centre in Solihull on 22 August from 5pm till 11pm all in aid of homeless dogs in their care.

The festival promises an evening of live music, dancing, great food and family-friendly entertainment, while raising vital funds to support the thousands of dogs that rely on the charity each year.

Visitors can enjoy performances from five fantastic live country music acts, hosted by Harry Colley from Country Roads Radio, alongside line dancing, country games, a bucking bronco, shopping stalls, delicious food vendors and a licensed bar.

What makes the event even more special is that all of the artists are generously donating their time and talent to support Birmingham Dogs Home, helping to ensure that even more of the money raised goes directly towards caring for dogs in need.

Rachel Frost, events & community fundraising manager at Birmingham Dogs Home, said: “We’re incredibly excited to be launching our very first Country Music Festival. It's something completely different for us and a fantastic opportunity for people to enjoy a great evening out while making a real difference to homeless dogs across the West Midlands.

"Every ticket sold helps us provide vital veterinary treatment, rehabilitation and a safe place for dogs who have nowhere else to turn. We're so grateful to all of the artists who have donated their time to perform and help us raise these much-needed funds."

As a charity, Birmingham Dogs Home receives no government funding and relies on the generosity of supporters to continue caring for dogs that have been abandoned, neglected or become separated from their families.

Tickets are limited, so anyone wishing to attend is encouraged to book early to avoid disappointment.
