Birmingham investors invited to explore Uttarakhand
Birmingham businesses learned about opportunities for market entry within the Indian state of Uttarakhand during an event hosted by the Indian Consulate.
The Consulate’s Birmingham roadshow took place in a bid to attract investors to the Uttarakhand Global Investor Summit, to be held in Dehradun on 8 and 9 December.
Among the attendees were Greater Birmingham Chambers of Commerce’s international director Mandy Haque, international partnerships manager Sian Timmins and senior innovation and growth specialist Deepak Pathak.
Addressing attendees, chief minister of Uttarakhand Sri Pushkar Singh Dhami said: “As one of the fastest developing states in the country, I believe that the state has immense potential.
“With its favourable environment, efficient single window system, investment-friendly policies, proximity to the national capital, and robust infrastructure, the state will attracting both domestic, international investors. Birmingham businesses should avail this opportunity.”
