Birmingham Mind invites applications for new trustee roles
Birmingham Mind is inviting people to join its board of trustees.
The charity supports thousands of people every year through a wide range of services including community support, crisis services, housing, employment support and wellbeing initiatives.
It is looking to strengthen its board by recruiting new trustees who can help guide its strategic direction and ensure strong governance for the future.
While expertise in areas such as digital and cyber security, communications and marketing, property, housing and supported housing would be particularly valuable, Birmingham Mind is keen to hear from people who share its values and commitment to improving mental health outcomes.
Helen Wadley, chief executive officer of Birmingham Mind, said: “Our trustees play a vital role in ensuring Birmingham Mind achieves its vision of Better Mental Health for All.
“We are looking for people who can bring fresh perspectives, challenge constructively, support good governance and help us continue to grow our impact.
“Whether or not you have previous trustee experience, if you are passionate about mental health and want to make a difference to the lives of people across our communities, we would love to hear from you.”
Birmingham Mind is committed to building a board that reflects the diversity of the communities it serves and particularly welcomes applications from people who are currently under-represented in charity governance.
The position requires the individual to attend, six scheduled board meetings (6pm start time) annually, all of which are held in person in the charity’s Birmingham office.
