Birmingham restaurant serves up Italian twist on Christmas dining

A Birmingham restaurant is putting an Italian spin on festive dining this year with the launch of its Christmas set menu.

San Carlo, based in the city centre, has unveiled a seasonal offering inspired by traditional Italian flavours, bringing a Mediterranean touch to the festive table.

The three-course menu includes dishes such as Gamberoni Luciana – king prawns with garlic, chilli, tomato and cream – and Tacchino con Ripieno di Castagne, turkey with chestnut stuffing and pancetta-wrapped chipolatas. Pasta lovers can enjoy Tagliatelle Porcini with Italian black truffle, while vegan diners are catered for with Cauliflower Arrosto served with broad bean cream and toasted hazelnuts.

Desserts include a Panettone bread and butter pudding with limoncello, alongside classics such as tiramisu and Ferrero Rocher cake.

Vegetarian, vegan and gluten-free options are available, with the menu priced at £48.50 per person for lunch or dinner, including tea or coffee.

The Festive Fayre Set Menu is available throughout the Christmas season and aims to offer diners a blend of Italian tradition and seasonal British produce.
