Greater Birmingham Global Chamber of Commerce is set to welcome a high-profile delegation from Vietnam next week.

In partnership with the Embassy of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam in London, Aston University, Birmingham City Council and the West Midlands Combined Authority, the visit on 10 October will present an exciting opportunity to meet a delegation of Vietnamese businesses from the North and South of the Indo-Pacific nation.

Also in attendance will be an expert team from the Vietnamese Embassy in London, including Vietnam Ambassador to the UK, Mr Nguyen Hoang Long (pictured).

Hear about exciting new opportunities and why Vietnam could be a viable target market when considering exporting, importing, or exploring joint investment opportunities.

Attendees will meet trade delegates - who represent 14.7 million Vietnamese consumers - who wish to talk about mutual opportunities for trade relationships, co-investment, the delivery of education and training, promotion of tourism, agricultural development and production, services and products related to digital transformation and the green transition.

The City of Birmingham and the Chamber already have a relationship with Da Nang (population 1.3m) and meeting the Embassy officials will also help attendees understand opportunities there in financial services and manufacturing.
