Birmingham creative video agency Spark Media is celebrating a double award win after picking up accolades at Midlands Marketing Awards and the Greater Birmingham Young Professional of the Year awards – both on the same night.

The agency picked up the Best Storytelling Award at the Midlands Marketing Awards for its work on the Historic Worcestershire campaign for Visit Worcestershire.

Spark Media brought Worcestershire’s rich history to life through film during the project, creating characterful content designed to showcase the people, places and stories that have helped shape the county.

The award recognised the strength of the storytelling behind the campaign and was the result of a collaborative effort across Spark Media’s production and post-production teams.

Meanwhile, Spark Media’s marketing executive, Rebecca Snoad, was recognised at the Greater Birmingham Young Professional of the Year Awards, winning the Marketing, Sales and Communications Award.

Rebecca joined Spark Media as an apprentice and has since developed into a key member of the team, playing an important role in the company’s marketing, positioning and continued growth.

Danny Gwynne, co-director of Spark Media, said: “Since joining Spark as an apprentice, Becca has gone from strength to strength and has become an integral part of the business, particularly in helping shape our positioning and drive our online lead generation.

“We couldn’t be happier to see her hard work and talent recognised in her field; it was thoroughly deserved.”

Spark Media co-director Scott Barnett said: “To receive two awards on the same night, recognising both the talent within our team and the creative work we produce for our clients, is something we’re incredibly proud of.

“The Historic Worcestershire project was a real team effort and exactly the kind of project we love working on, taking a great story and finding a creative way to bring it to life on screen.

“Alongside that, seeing Becca recognised for everything she has achieved since joining us as an apprentice made it a very special night for Spark.”

Based in Birmingham’s Jewellery Quarter, Spark Media produces video, animation and creative content for organisations across the UK.
