The Branston Golf & Country has reiterated its commitment to support YMCA Burton’s foodbank, located at the Reconnect site in Burton town centre.

For over a decade, staff and members at the club have been donating generously to support YMCA Burton.

Ben Laing, managing director of the club, said: “As a team, we were delighted to support YMCA Burton’s Foodbank once again.

“Thanks to the kindness and generosity of our staff and members, we were able to collect a significant number of essential grocery items.

“We hope these donations will help provide much-needed support to local families during these challenging times.”

The Foodbank is in increasingly high demand and the grocery items collected will go towards keeping the shelves well-stocked during this busy time of year.

YMCA Burton chief executive, Paul Laffey, said: “We would like to extend our sincere thanks to Ben Laing and his staff for organising this collection and to all members who contributed so generously by donating an exceptional quantity of food.

“Branston Golf & Country Club has supported the YMCA Foodbank for many years and this continued commitment is greatly appreciated, particularly during the festive period when demand increases and family budgets are under additional pressure.

“These kind donations will go a long way in helping local families in crisis.”

The Foodbank is available via self-referral throughout the Festive period from 9 am - 10 pm.
