The Brexit Series will resume after the holiday season with The Brexit Series: The Future of Trading with Europe on 18 January.

Hosted by Pinsent Masons, the event is part of a series commissioned by the West Midlands Combined Authority which aims to inform local businesses about the latest Brexit-related developments and the future of European trade.

Free for all businesses to attend, delegates will be able to hear from president of Lichfield and Tamworth Chamber of Commerce Fiona Rouse and her colleague Adam Gadsby about PI-KEM 's post-Brexit European trade journey.

Delegates will also be able to find out more about the future of post-Brexit funding and what this might mean for them from Birmingham City Council 's head of european and international affairs, Lloyd Broad.

Erin Henwood (pictured), policy advisor of the Greater Birmingham Chambers of Commerce said: “So much has changed for businesses trading with Europe since the end of the transition period, with nearly 40 per cent of firms across the region reporting that importing goods from the EU was now more difficult as a result of Brexit in the Q4 West Midlands Quarterly Economic Survey.

“Considering the significant impact that the UK 's departure has had on local firms, The Future of Trading with Europe will be a fantastic opportunity for delegates to find out what international trade opportunities are on the horizon and how their business can adapt. ”
