Britpop great to perform at Lichfield venue
Lichfield’s The Hub at St Mary’s is set to welcome the frontman from Britpop legends The Bluetones for a performance next month.
Best known as the lead singer for The Bluetones and now also having been a solo artist since 2008, Mark Morriss (pictured) has spent the best part of three decades honing his craft as a live performer.
During that time, he has released six albums with The Bluetones, including 14 Top 40 singles, four albums as a solo artiste and collaborated with Matt Berry and the Maypoles, Mike Wilton and The Helicopter Of The Holy Ghost on tours and on record.
He is performing at The Hub on Thursday 18 September (8pm).
The Hub creative director Anthony Evans said: “Mark Morriss is a true professional and seasoned performer, crafting his heartfelt music to deliver stylish performances.
“He’s also known for his great rapport with audiences which he refers to as ‘hipster panto’ – you won’t want to miss this one so grab a ticket now!”
