Participants may also look forward to a two-course meal, which will give an opportunity for players to unwind and socialise after a long day on the course.

The event will also include activities such as an awards ceremony to honour the winners of the various competitions held throughout the day, as well as a raffle where participants can win exciting prizes while supporting vital research into babies born with congenital heart defects.

Individual players and four-ball teams alike are invited to join the tournament. A registration fee of £45 per person will be collected, with all proceeds going directly to The Charlie Ramsey Research Fund to support their ongoing efforts in the field of babies born with congenital heart defect research.

The prestigious John Kelleher Memorial Trophy will be presented to the overall winner of the golf tournament. This trophy will bear the engraved names of past winners, symbolising their triumph and connection to John Kelleher's enduring legacy.

The Charlie Ramsey Research Fund was founded in 2007 by John Kelleher and Natal Chapman, after their encounter with Sandra Ramsey, a passionate advocate for congenital heart defect research. Inspired by Sandra's heartwarming presentation about her daughter Charlie's journey, John and his team chose to support the Birmingham Children's Hospital Cardiology department, which later evolved into The Charlie Ramsey Research Fund. John's commitment to charitable work continued when he moved on to manage The Ropewalk Shopping Centre, where he initiated an annual golf day to raise funds for the cause.

Sadly, John passed away on 7 November 2015, leaving behind a profound impact on those who knew him and on the charitable causes he supported. To honour his memory and his love for golf, The Charlie Ramsey Research Fund established the annual charity golf day in his name.
