Burton Albion Community Trust (BACT) has again received the Investors in People, We Invest in People, gold accreditation.

BACT achieved the gold standard in 2020 and has retained the status at the latest assessment with more than 40 members of staff being interviewed during the review process.

Investors in People is an internationally recognised award that assesses how an organisation is performing against the agency 's We Invest in People framework.

Investors in People advises and supports on how to improve workplace culture over time specifically in areas around employee engagement, communication, organisational culture and work practices.

The gold accreditation is achieved by less than one in five companies.

Will Evans, head of Community, said: “We are delighted to have again achieved the gold award which shows just how much we value our workforce.

“As a charity, our aim is to make a positive impact on the community we serve and we can only do that with a successful, motivated and happy team of employees.

“Our staff are the key drivers of our ambitions and aims and I want to thank each and every one of them for the efforts they put in on a daily basis.

“We will continue to move forward as a team and will constantly strive for excellence not only in the delivery of our programmes but in terms of our investment in our workforce. ”

Burton Albion Chairman Ben Robinson said: “Supporting the community is at the heart of what Burton Albion represents as a football club and having the right team in place at our charity who work together to deliver on our commitments is of paramount importance.

“This gold award shows how much importance we put on having the right staff, doing the right things, the right way and delivering daily a massive community impact. ”
