Burton Albion 's Pirelli Stadium Vaccination Centre scooped the Special Recognition prize at the Impact on the Community Awards.

Hosted at the Pirelli Stadium, the awards were held in partnership with Burton Albion Community Trust. The Trent and Dove Impact Awards recognise the vital work carried out by not just individuals, but organisations who improve their communities.

Burton Chamber of Commerce member Trent and Dove Housing is a housing charity based in Burton upon Trent which provides affordable housing in East Staffordshire, South Derbyshire and North West Leicestershire. It is long-time supporter/partner of the football club and Community Trust.

The awards ceremony was hosted by Paul Sinha from ITV 's The Chase and was also attended by the Mayor and Mayoress of East Staffordshire, Councillor Phillip Hudson and his wife Karen, as well as MP for Burton and Uttoxeter Kate Kniveton.

Opened in December 2020, the Pirelli Stadium vaccination has delivered over 500,000 life saving jabs and has been recognised for numerous awards, including the EFL 's Project of the Season for the 2021-22 campaign.

Burton Albion Chairman Ben Robinson MBE DL said: “We are privileged to receive the Special Recognition prize from the Impact on the Community Awards.

“As a football club that cares deeply about its communities, we were delighted to honour those who go above and beyond to make their communities a better place with Trent and Dove Housing who have long been supporters of the Football Club and the Community Trust. ”
