Business leaders, employers, and decisionmakers across East Staffordshire are being invited to Langan’s Tea Rooms for a networking and learning morning focused on workplace culture, early intervention, and unlocking local talent.

The event, which is hosted by The O'Connor Gateway Trust and sponsored by IT Helpdesk LTD, was developed after both organisations met at a Burton and District Chamber of Commerce event in June 2026. It will take place on Wednesday, 2 December.

The event will explore how building an open, supportive workplace culture helps employers retain skilled staff, address hidden challenges before they escalate into crisis. Attendees can also meet a loyal and resilient talent pool in the local community.

It comes during a time where addiction and hidden health struggles affect families, workplaces, and teams in every sector, often silently.

Attendees will hear powerful first-hand lived-experience stories, engage in peer-to-peer discussions on building psychological safety in teams, and learn practical ways businesses can champion recovery while driving real social value across Burton and East Staffordshire.

Domink Stingas-Paczko, chief officer of The O’Connor Gateway Trust, said: “Workplaces that foster trust, openness, and early support can turn hidden struggles into stories of incredible retention, loyalty, and personal growth.

“This morning isn't about policies—it's about real human stories, practical leadership, and connecting local employers with extraordinary, untapped talent right here in our community.”
