Burton businesses invited to Chamber event on navigating workplace challenges
Members of the Burton & District Chamber of Commerce are invited for an event exploring a people perspective on navigating today’s workplace.
The event, happening at The Mulberry Bistro on 8 October from 8.30am to 10am, will look at practical ways to reduce risk and strengthen people management through clear policies, training, communication and setting expectations.
It will also consider the wider role of leadership and workplace culture in supporting engagement, performance, retention and overall business success.
The event is part of the Business Growth Studio, a new Chamber wide initiative designed to equip Greater Birmingham SMEs with the tools, knowledge, and connections to grow confidently in today’s economy.
Attendees will be able to hear expert insights from Gemma Richardson (pictured), managing director of All About People.
She brings extensive experience in people strategy, HR and culture, having worked across a range of organisations including elite sport and growing businesses.
Gemma has previously served as Head of People and Culture at Birmingham City FC, helping leadership teams build inclusive, high-performing environments.
As founder of All About People, Gemma now supports ambitious businesses with practical people solutions, leadership, culture and HR strategy.
Richard Brooks, head of Burton & District Chamber of Commerce, said: “People are at the heart of every successful business, and this event is a valuable opportunity for local employers to gain practical advice on how to manage workplace challenges with confidence.
“By focusing on clear communication, strong policies and positive workplace culture, businesses can reduce risk while creating environments where their teams feel supported and able to perform at their best.
“We’re pleased to be bringing this session to Burton as part of the Business Growth Studio, helping local firms access the knowledge and support they need to grow sustainably.”
The event is free to attend for members of Greater Birmingham Chambers of Commerce. Tickets are priced £50 plus VAT for non-members and £15 for members of the Future Faces Chamber of Commerce.
