Burton Chamber announces AGM with applications open for divisional council and charity of the year
The Burton & District Chamber of Commerce has formally launched its application process for the divisional council, ahead of the AGM taking place on Tuesday, 6 May.
The Chamber is inviting individuals from member businesses who would like to play an active role in supporting local business to come forward and express an interest in joining the Burton & District Chamber divisional council.
Applicants must be members of the Burton & District Chamber and have an interest in this voluntary role, helping to advocate for the Chamber and represent the interests of local businesses across the region.
Those interested can email head of Burton Chamber, Richard Brooks at r.brooks@birmingham-chamber.com, or apply online.
Nominations are also open for Burton & District Chamber Charity of the Year, giving member charities the opportunity to be considered for support.
Further details, including the formal Notice of AGM, will be sent to Burton & District Chamber members via email communications next week.
Richard Brooks, head of Burton & District and Cannock Chase Chambers of Commerce, said: “I am looking forward to this year’s AGM as we thank Richard Wileman for the huge contribution he has made during his time as President.
“Richard has worked hard to help diversify and strengthen our Divisional Council, push for positive change and operational efficiencies, and represent Burton at the highest level.
“From meetings with local MPs, Chamber Council and patrons, through to networking across the region and even meeting the Director General of the British Chambers of Commerce, he has given the role real time, energy and professionalism.
“I would like to thank him personally, not only for his work, but also for his friendship. We now look ahead to a prosperous new year and to the incoming outlook of the divisional council.”
