Burton Chamber launches mini expo with all £20 stand fees going to charity
Burton & District Chamber of Commerce has launched a new mini business expo, bringing together local businesses for a day of networking and seminars, with all proceeds being donated to Kids’ Village charity.
The free to attend will take place on Wednesday, 18 November at Branston Golf & Country Club from 9.30 am to 12.30 pm.
Alexander Accountancy has been announced as the headline sponsor of the event with Burton and South Derbyshire College supporting as the events partner.
Exhibitor stands are free of charge with exhibitors invited to make a £20 donation on arrival to Kids’ Village, Burton & District Chamber’s Charity of the Year.
The event also features a keynote address with Peter the Speaker who recently made a successful pitch on Dragon's Den.
Peter, a former stand-up comedian, has set up several business ventures covering both new products and services. His training style uses interactive lectures, immersive group activities and practical exercises suitable for a neurodiverse audience.
Other highlights of the day include two insightful short business seminars from mental health and wellbeing coach Claire Reeves and David Alexander, chairman of Alexander Accountancy.
Claire will speak about ‘The 7Cs of Wellbeing at Work’. It is a practical framework to help employees assess their wellbeing, identify areas for improvement, and leave with simple, actionable strategies to boost resilience, performance and long-term wellbeing.
David Alexander’s seminar will cover HMRC’s newly implemented Making Tax Digital (MTD) system for Income Tax Self-Assessment (ITSA) from April 2026. David will explain the key requirements of the taxpayers and how it will impact landlords.
Bookings are now open for Burton & District Chamber of Commerce members. Bookings will open for Greater Birmingham Chambers of Commerce members on 15 September and for non-members on 1 October.
Speaking about the event, head of Burton Chamber Richard Brooks said: “This is a great opportunity for businesses in Burton and the surrounding area to showcase what they do at our pop-up Business Show.
“Exhibition space is free of charge, giving businesses the chance to promote themselves while networking with other exhibitors and delegates.
“We’re pleased to have Alexander Accountancy supporting the event as sponsors, alongside our skills partner, Burton and South Derbyshire College.
“There will also be some excellent workshops throughout the day, as well as Peter the Speaker joining us, so we’d encourage businesses from across the region to come along, get involved and make the most of it.”
