Burton employment fair set to launch with 80 businesses welcoming jobseekers

Burton & District Chamber of Commerce, MP Kate Kniveton and the Department for Work and Pensions (DWP) has announced a partnership to bring a jobs, skills and employment fair.

The event will be held at the Pirelli Stadium on Thursday, 28 September from 10 am to 2 pm with over 80 businesses welcoming jobseekers from across the region.

The fair will feature a variety of employers from a range of industries, including manufacturing, healthcare, retail and more. There will also be representatives from local training providers and colleges to offer advice and support to job seekers.

It will also include CV writing and interview workshops, free transport to and from Uttoxeter and free admission.

Richard Brooks, head of the Burton and District Chamber of Commerce said: “We are thrilled to be working with MP Kate Kniveton and the DWP to bring this important event to our community.

“This fair will be a great opportunity for job seekers of all ages and skill levels to connect with potential employers and learn about training and education opportunities.”
