Burton music collective announces programme of live gigs

Burton Music Collective, a group of likeminded music fans from Burton upon Trent have announced an exciting line up of grass roots gigs, which will take place across the town in November this year.

The Burton Music Collective project, supported by The Brewhouse Arts Centre with funding from East Staffordshire Borough Council, aims to support and rejuvenate a rich history of live music, which has included, the 76 Club to The Refinery, The Telescopes, The Leisure Society and Riding The Low.

The first step of this new initiative will see a multi-venue celebration of live gigs take place in a host of locations across the town, kicked off with Riding The Low playing at The Brewhouse on Friday, 3 November.

The headline gigs include:

  • Riding The Low – The Brewhouse –  3 November 8pm
  • The Telescopes + The Telephones & Kez – Tower Brewery – 16 November 7.30pm
  • THEIA present; Welcome to the Splash Parade! – The Geek Bar – 18 November 7.30pm
  • Kitten Pyramid: Loud in the Library Burton Library – Burton Library – 25 November 6pm

 

In addition, Burton Music Collective are also hosting a series of relaxed hangouts every Saturday throughout November, featuring a wide range of artist. This programme includes:

  • Indie Night with 76 Club – 4 November – Brews of the World
  • Rock Night with Dirty Bomb – 11November – Brews of the World
  • Acoustic Night with Jemma Johnson – 18 November – Brews of the World
  • DJ Night with One For The Road – 25 November – Brews of the World

Cllr Paul Walker, cabinet member for tourism and cultural development, said: “It’s great to see so many amazing artists take to the stage this November, revitalising Burton’s music scene.
