The charitable arm of Burton based rehabilitation centre The BAC O’Connor centre has announced a fundraising ball at the Pirelli Stadium on Friday, 31 October.

The evening aims to raise vital funds in support of the O’Connor Gateway Trust’s ongoing work.

Event highlights include a sit down meal, a charity auction hosted by Charles Hanson, and live entertainment from Josh Daniels and the Stolen Fridays.

The dress code is lounge suits and partywear with optional masquerade masks.

Speaking about the importance of the event, William Saunders OBE, Chair of the O’Connor Gateway Trustees said: “I see every day how much courage it takes for someone to begin their recovery journey, and I also see how powerful it is when the right support is there at the right time.

“The O’Connor Gateway Trust exists to give people in early recovery the chance to build a new life – one with purpose, dignity, and hope.

“Fundraising for the O’Connor Gateway Trust isn’t just about money – it’s about creating opportunities for people to rebuild their lives, to regain their self-worth, and to feel part of a community again.

“I’ve watched people who are feeling broken and hopeless gain qualifications, jobs, friendships, and a future.

“That transformation simply wouldn’t happen without the funds we raise together, and I am deeply grateful to everyone who makes it possible.

“Every ticket purchased, every auction prize donated, every contribution made helps us to provide the practical skills, the work experience, and the community connections that people need to stand on their own two feet again.

“For someone who has lost everything through addiction, that support is life-changing.

“It is the bridge between surviving and truly living again, and that is why raising funds for the Trust is so vital.”
