Business hub to help members following loan extension

Business finance hub Finpoint is to continue helping Greater Birmingham Chambers of Commerce members access the Coronavirus Business Interruption Loan Scheme (CBILS) after it was extended until 31 March.

Finpoint helps businesses find finance from the UK 's largest panel of lenders and in August became the Chamber 's preferred business finance hub.

With many companies still dealing with the impact of the pandemic, the Government 's CIBLS initiative has been extended beyond the latest deadline of 31 January.

The CBILS provides financial support to smaller businesses affected by Covid-19.

The scheme helps small and medium-sized businesses to access loans and other kinds of finance up to £5 million.

The government guarantees 80 per cent of the finance to the lender and pays interest and any fees for the first 12 months.

Finpoint is helping firms access multiple providers for the scheme, as well as providing information on the small business Bounce Back Loan Scheme.
