Business networking event to address youth challenges in Birmingham
A business networking event, organised by the Overseas Business Forum UK and Community Plaza CIC, will focus on supporting vulnerable youth in Birmingham.
Happening on Friday, 11 October at Regent Park Banqueting, the event will feature a three-course meal with over 300 attendees.
The gathering will promote business connections and raise awareness around the challenges the youth face and the critical role businesses can play in their future, with expertise from Police crime commissioner Simon Foster.
Community Plaza CIC is an organisation dedicated to supporting vulnerable youth in Bordesley Green and surrounding areas of Birmingham. They have successfully directed over 43,000 vulnerable youths away from crime and back into education and employment.
Mohammed Zafran (pictured), UK global ambassador for Youth & Community said: “We all need to play our part in steering our youths on the right path, and I want everyone to come on board and support this cause because our youths are the future.”
Sam Dossa, spokesperson for Overseas Business Forum UK said: “This event is a fantastic opportunity for businesses to come together, support our local community, and make a real difference in the lives of vulnerable young people.
“By collaborating with Community Plaza CIC and the local police, we can collectively tackle the issue of knife crime and provide positive alternatives for our youth.”
Businesses also have the opportunity to sponsor the event. Interested parties can reach out to Sam Dossa at 07574046659 for more information on sponsorship opportunities.
