Business role in society explored at Chamber forum

Environmental and social governance (ESG), social value and corporate social responsibility (CSR) are in focus when the Chamber 's Good Business Forum returns this month.

The event on 11 October takes place at the Birmingham office of law firm and Chamber patron Mills & Reeve.

From climate change to attracting and retaining a new more socially-minded generation of employees, global events have moved exploring and articulating businesses ' wider role in society to the forefront.

This quarterly forum for GBCC members explores how businesses are tackling this subject and why: the tangible business benefits to doing so.

Each event sees a panel of; a business case study, a professional advisor and a representative from the public or third sector sharing their insights and perspectives before a series of roundtable discussions.

The latest event features Jessica Wilkes-Ball (pictured), sustainability manager at Mills & Reeve LLP, Tom Proverbs-Garbett associate director at RSM and Janet Douglas, founder and CEO of multi award-winning social enterprise Feed My Creative.
