Business support programme targets aspiring female entrepreneurs
A new 'Boosting Women in Business' programme, delivered by the Staffordshire Chambers of Commerce, aims to help women across the Staffordshire region who are looking to start their own businesses.
Boosting Women in Business has been developed as a bespoke program of support to inspire, boost confidence and raise the self-esteem of women across Stoke-on-Trent and Staffordshire.
Funding for the programme is being provided by the Natwest Skills and Opportunities Fund in a bid to support more women who are looking to enter self-employment, whether it be in pursuit of a complete career change or a part time business for some extra income.
The programme provides online workshops to help firm up ideas, one to one support from resident business advisors and mentoring from peers and other successful Staffordshire business women.
The project can also assist with up to £500 towards start-up costs as part of a Business Plan Competition.
Due to Covid-19, the programme is operating online through a closed Facebook group and promises a safe and supportive environment to understand the value of your skill set and how these skills can translate into running your own business.
