Business travel network set up to assist Cannock firms

New funding has been made available to support Cannock Chase based businesses and their employees to travel more sustainably to work.

Staffordshire County Council is leading the Cannock Business Travel Network project, after being awarded funding by the Department of Transport and the Department for Environment, Food and Rural Affairs.

As part of this, the council and Atkins will be hosting a launch event to mark the establishment of a Business Travel Network (BTN) in Cannock.

The BTN will be a collaborative forum for major businesses in Cannock to share experiences, discuss common travel issues and work together through stakeholder/partnership engagement to increase active and sustainable business travel in Cannock.

It will provide businesses with the chance to develop and implement practical solutions which improve travel to work opportunities for their employees, with support from transport operators and local authorities.

The event will take place from 10am on 25 May at the new Designer Outlet in Cannock. Guests can attend in-person or virtually via Microsoft Teams.
