Talent management agency JAM People Consulting is encouraging businesses to take part in a new applied research project exploring sustainable and inclusive leadership in high‑pressure organisational environments.

The project is being funded by the Division of Occupational Psychology and delivered in partnership with The University of Leicester.

The research marks an important step in JAM’s ongoing mission to ‘positively impact the working lives of 1,000,000 people’ and to support organisations in ‘creating workplaces where people thrive, cultures flourish, and businesses succeed sustainably’.

As a consultancy committed to unlock leadership potential, strengthen culture and deliver sustainable performance, this project reflects JAM’s purpose and values in action.

The research project will explore how leaders are navigating increasing organisational pressure and what leadership behaviours genuinely support wellbeing, inclusion, and long‑term organisational health.

It will also examine where leadership choices may unintentionally create strain or exclusion, and what sustainable leadership looks like in practice.

The study will focus on the four core areas of how leaders are responding to rising organisational demands, leadership behaviours that support wellbeing and inclusion, where leadership practices may unintentionally create pressure or exclusion, and what sustainable, human‑centred leadership looks like day‑to‑day

As part of the project, participating leaders will be sent a questionnaire and invited to an insight forum bringing together practitioners, leaders, and researchers to explore emerging findings and practical implications for their organisations.

Chartered business psychologist and director Jane Arthur‑McGuire said: “Leadership today is more demanding than ever.

“Organisations are under pressure, people are under pressure, and leaders are expected to navigate this complexity while still creating environments where people can thrive.

“This research is designed to generate insight that is academically robust but also genuinely useful for leaders who want to lead sustainably and inclusively.”

Businesses can express their interest to participate by filling an online form or by getting in touch with Jam People Consulting.
