Businesses invited to express interest in trade mission to Pakistan food and agriculture exhibition

Greater Birmingham businesses with an interest in the food and agriculture sectors are being invited to express interest in joining a trade delegation to Pakistan this November.

The delegation will attend the International Food & Agriculture Exhibition (FoodAg 2026), taking place in Karachi from 23 to 26 November.

Organised by the Trade Development Authority of Pakistan under the Ministry of Commerce, the exhibition is expected to bring together more than 500 exhibitors and over 850 international buyers from more than 80 countries, under the theme ‘Harvesting Innovation, Cultivating Sustainability’.

The show covers 20 key sectors across the food and agriculture supply chain, including beverages and drinks, cereals, dairy, dry fruits, fruits and vegetables, floriculture, honey, maize, meat, poultry, rice, seafood and fisheries, processed foods, edible oils and oil seeds, salt, sesame seeds, spices, tobacco and related services.

The trade mission offers Greater Birmingham businesses the opportunity to explore export opportunities, build international partnerships, and connect with buyers across Pakistan and the wider region, at an event organisers say will showcase innovation and sustainability across the global food and agriculture sector.

Nasir Awan, past president of Greater Birmingham Chambers of Commerce and Asian Business Chamber of Commerce, will lead a West Midlands delegation.

He said: “FoodAg 2026 presents a genuine opportunity for businesses across our region to connect with international buyers and explore new export markets within the food and agriculture sector.

“Pakistan has a large and growing economy, and this exhibition brings together exhibitors and buyers from more than 80 countries under one roof.

“Having built strong relationships across Pakistan over many years, I'm looking forward to leading this delegation and helping Greater Birmingham businesses make meaningful connections that can translate into real trade opportunities.”
