Cannock companies are invited to join Staffordshire University for an exclusive transformative business breakfast, in partnership with Cannock Chase Council.

The event will happen on Wednesday, 1 May at 9am at Oak Farm Hotel.

Participants of this event will hear firsthand from a business leader and a technical expert who have developed a Net Zero plan with the goal of reducing carbon emissions while significantly cutting costs.

They can also discover how business can embark on a fully funded 12-week programme to assess carbon usage and uncover potential savings, as well as apply for a £1,000 grant to help invest in greener cost-saving initiatives.

The event will also have information on Staffordshire University projects available to Cannock companies. Attendees will be treated to a complimentary cooked breakfast, providing the perfect opportunity to fuel up for a morning of networking and collaboration.

Staffordshire University business engagement consultant Jordan Everall said: “Staffordshire University’s Net Zero Pathfinder programme supports businesses based in the district of Cannock Chase to start their Net Zero journey, or enhance their existing decarbonisation plans.

“Following the completion of an assessment developed by Staffordshire University academic experts, you will receive a bespoke report with recommendations to reduce the organisation’s emissions and operations costs.

“There is also a grant opportunity to kickstart the implementation of your recommended solutions. Our aim is to decarbonise industry, whilst boosting the regional economy."
