Cannock Chase business completes first fully remote student placement

A Cannock Chase-based digital agency has successfully completed one of the first fully remote T-Level industry placements in partnership with University College Birmingham.

Cosmik Carrot, a member of the Cannock Chase Chamber of Commerce, hosted student I’Naayah Bryan (pictured) for a 22-day placement between February and June as part of the T-Level Digital course.

As a remote-first business for over 17 years, the agency was well-placed to offer a flexible and practical learning experience entirely online.

Ben Bradley, director of Cosmik Carrot said: “This has been a great opportunity for both the student and our business.

“We’re pleased to show how remote placements can still deliver valuable experience and help prepare students for the realities of digital work today.”

With T-Level guidelines now allowing up to 50 per cent of placements to be remote, this model opens the door for more local businesses to take part—especially those without a physical office or traditional workspace.
