Careers hub connects students and employers through future ready workshops
Solihull Careers Hub has organised a workshop as part of the Solihull Future Ready initiative.
The workshop aims to connect employers with local students, giving businesses the opportunity to inspire the future workforce and help students build essential career skills through an interactive session.
The careers hub will be taking place on 8 July from 9am-3pm (9.30am-2.30pm) for the actual workshops) at Solihull College & University Centre Woodlands Campus.
Employers are invited to develop and deliver 1-1.5 hours, task-based workshops at the event.
Students will choose the workshops based on their interests and aspirations prior to the event.
Alongside the benefit to students, it is a development opportunity for staff who can present real work challenges or scenarios and lead and guide students to reach a solution.
Eleanor Palmer, Solihull Careers Hub lead, said: “This is a great opportunity for employers to engage with local young people and inspire them to explore the many career paths in their sector.
“We’re here to support employers with the workshop planning. What we need from you is a passion to support young people to build core employability skills and a willingness to share your skills and expertise.”
