The Greater Birmingham Young Professional of the Year awards has been launched for 2026, and the Future Faces Chamber of Commerce is celebrating winners, nominees and alumni through a dedicated news page.

The awards were first launched under the BPS Network as the Birmingham Young Professional of the Year Awards (BYPY), which later merged with Future Faces to create the Greater Birmingham Young Professional of the Year Awards (GBYPY).

BYPY alumni include a diverse range of stars from award-winning entrepreneurs and Michelin-star chefs to apprentices.

The 2026 awards ceremony will be held on Thursday, 24 September at Birmingham Town Hall, promising to be a unique celebration of the region’s young professional community.

Members and non-members are encouraged to nominate young professionals for the awards. Instead of requiring nominees to complete the full application form, individuals will now be able to nominate someone by submitting a few basic details, including their name, email address and a short statement outlining why they deserve recognition.

The nomination process is free, and shortlisted finalists will be invited to attend the awards ceremony. The deadline to apply for the awards is 10 July 2026.

Future Faces Chamber of Commerce manager Sophie Poduvel-Morrell said: “For 25 years, these awards have celebrated the drive, creativity and impact of young professionals across Greater Birmingham.

“From entrepreneurs and apprentices to leaders in hospitality and the creative industries, our alumni represent the breadth of talent shaping our region’s future.

“As we launch the 2026 awards and reflect on the legacy of BYPY and GBYPY, we are proud to showcase the achievements of past winners and nominees through our dedicated news page.

“Each year, the ceremony brings together an inspiring community, and we look forward to once again recognising the individuals who are making a real difference in their industries and communities.”
