Solihull Chamber of Commerce members are being urged to don their running or walking shoes to raise money for chosen charity Social Life Opportunities (SoLO).

The Chamber 's 5k for five days fundraising challenge is returning for another year - beginning on Monday 16 January which is known as Blue Monday.

Participants are challenged to run, walk, swim or row, 5,000km each day for five days.

They will have from 16 January until the end of the month to complete the challenge raising funds for SoLo through sponsorship.

SoLO is a charity which enables children, young people and adults with learning disabilities to enjoy social and leisure activities that many people take for granted.

Sam Frampton, head of the Solihull Chamber, said: “We would like to welcome members to take part in our 5km for 5 days challenge this year.

“Our challenge will not only have a positive impact on fundraising for SoLO, but also a positive effect on the wellbeing of everyone taking part.

“We would love to see as many members on the challenge as possible. ”
