Chamber 's day of digital activity to 'welcome back ' businesses
Greater Birmingham Chambers of Commerce is continuing its drive to 'Keep Business Moving ' with a day of activity to welcome back firms who are reopening next week.
Stage two of the government 's roadmap takes effect from Monday - meaning non-essential retail, beauty salons, gyms and outdoor attractions can reopen, while hospitality venues will be able to operate outdoors by following Covid-secure regulations.
And the Chamber will be using its digital channels to champion those businesses who are reopening - many of whom have faced a challenging period due to Covid-19 restrictions.
Member businesses are being invited to take part in a 'Twitter Takeover ' of our official account - @GrBhamChambers - with the entire day on Monday devoted to those who are reopening or preparing to reopen.
This will include a series of posts and content from companies who are opening their doors for the first time since lockdown.
Member businesses also have the opportunity to be highlighted in Monday 's edition of our ChamberlinkDaily news bulletin, which reaches around 15,000 contacts.
To register an interest in being featured, fill in our Keep Business Moving member reopening form here.
The deadline to fill in the form is TODAY at midday.
Chief executive Henrietta Brealey (pictured) said: "Businesses across Greater Birmingham have been working incredibly hard to reopen after another long period of closures.
"At the Chamber, we 're excited to support and welcome back those who are getting ready to open their doors again next week.
"Throughout Monday, we will be using our digital platforms to shine a light on some of those member businesses - many of whom operate in some of the hardest-hit sectors.
"I would encourage member businesses who would like to be featured to contact us by midday today through the Keep Business Moving member reopening form.
"While we are excited about saying a big welcome back to some of our members, we know that there 's still a long way to go on the full roadmap to recovery.
"Whether your business is able to reopen under stage two (even to a limited degree), remains lockdown or has otherwise been impacted by the pandemic, the Chamber team are on hand to support our members however they can."
